About Lisa Cuscuna

Lisa Cuscuna / is a graduate of The Cooper Union School of Art. She has been designing projection environments and video installations for corporations, Broadway shows, world fairs, Olympic events, and museums for more than 35 years. Her work has appeared in Broadway shows produced by Harold Prince (Merrily We Roll Along, Diamonds and End of the World), Trevor Nunn and Andrew Lloyd Webber (Song and Dance), Bob Fosse (Dancin’), John Caird (Jane Eyre), and Will Farrell on Broadway (You’re Welcome America.) Her work was also featured in the live Seigfried and Roy Show designed by John Napier, which played daily at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

For 10 years she supervised the design of video for the entertainment industry and business community. Cuscuna Multimedia Inc., designed and produced projected video for “The George Bush Presidential Library” in Texas, “The International Olympic Museum” in Lausanne, Switzerland, “The North Carolina Museum of History” in Charlotte, North Carolina, the “Petronas Science and Discovery Center” in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the Rose Center for Earth and Space at the American Museum of Natural History, New York.

Recognition

In 2001, she began a career of painting surreal images based on her surreal photography. Her work has been shown at Zorya Gallery in Greenwich, CT. the Cate Charles Gallery in Stonington, Massachusets, Fernando Luiz Alvarez Gallery in Stamford, CT. and The New Canaan Fine Art Gallery in New Canaan, CT. and Rosenbaum Contemporary Gallery in Boca Raton, Florida. She is a member of the Greenwich Arts Council and is on the board of the Art Society of Old Greenwich. She was President of the Loft Artists Association from 2009 to 2013, a non-profit group of professional artists located in Stamford CT, and is now a board member and the treasurer of that organization.
